READY TO ROLL—Mike Gregerson, who owns Morenci’s Rex Theatre with his wife, Carolin, prepares his two projectors for the Saturday night show. The 35 millimeter film moves through the projector at a rate of 24 frames per second to create the traditional cinema look. Film projectors, in use for the past 122 years, are giving way to digital projectors which might eventually be replaced by laser projectors.
