A Fayette area Cub Scout from Pack 171 recently excelled in the Black Swamp Area Council Tamarack’s district pinewood derby. A number of scouts in Pack 171 competed.
Tiger scout C.J. Brenner took first place in the Tiger Scout division and went on to place third in the grand champion race.

 During the pack’s Blue and Gold banquet Saturday, five second-year Webelos were awarded the Arrow of Light, which is the highest honor a Cub Scout can receive. It is the only Cub Scout decoration that is worn on the Boy Scout uniform. Ian Schrock, Ryder Sommers, Ben Mata and Cody Stuckey received the award.
