Union Street at about 2 p.m. Sunday after a neighbor discovered the garage on fire. The Sells were not home at the time.

• Gorham Fayette Fire Department members had no chance of saving structures during a pair of last Wednesday.A barn at the Canfield residence on Fulton County Road 22 was fully engulfed in flames when fire-fighters reached the scene around 1:30 p.m. July 11.
The fire was contained to the barn, but the structure was a total loss, reported fire chief Tom Franks.
Franks said his department made a quick response to the report of a trailer fire later that night, but the structure was beyond saving.
“When we left the village limits, you could see the fire,” he said.
John Hall, a resident of the trailer owned by Linda Leahy on County Road T west of County Road 23, spotted flames coming from under the trailer and the back porch and tried to fight the flames with fire extinguishers. The blaze spread so fast that he had no chance to stop it and the fire department was called at 9:12 p.m.
The cause was ruled as an electrical fire.
