STAFF—Lacy Stambaugh was hired as an intervention teacher for the 2008-09 school year. Twelve-week family leave was approved for Brittan Bosco effective in August.
Two-year contracts were approved for technology coordinator Rebecca Short, EMIS coordinator Hayley Brown, and athletic director Dave Hoste.
Some concern was expressed about Hoste’s job during the past year, but Griggs said he will work with him to improve his availability in the district and his communication with district residents.
Some of the criticism leveled against Hoste isn’t warranted, Griggs said.
SCORES—Secondary principal Dan Feasel said he was very pleased with Fayette’s results on the Ohio Graduation Test.
DATA STORAGE—Technology coordinator Rebecca Short told the board she will be working on Griggs’s goal to reduce the paper storage of data. Many documents will be scanned and stored electronically.
REVENUE—The latest five-year revenue forecast reflects a more conservative outlook, said district treasurer Adam Adamski, due to economic conditions.
According to the county auditor’s report, $130,000 has been collected in delinquent accounts, but $80,000 remains outstanding.
