John and Wanda Bacon recently celebrated 70 years of marriage. John Bacon and Wanda Hippert were united in marriage Nov. 10, 1939 in Fayette.

They have one son, Stanley Bacon, of Bryan, Ohio, seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

An open house is planned in their honor for family and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 22, at Bryan Alliance Church, 220 W. Fountain Grove Dr. in Bryan. Please omit gifts.
