Fayette library has new web address 7.28.10

Fayette’s Normal Memorial Library has a new website address (http://www.fayette-nml.org ) along with an updated look.

The library’s electronic catalogue is located on the left side of the page, near the top. A book search shows which libraries around the state own the book. A large green check mark after the title shows the book is owned by Normal Memorial, but titles can be borrowed from other libraries and ordering can be accomplished from a patron’s home computer.

The website currently lists a selection of new novels. Click on the New Books link  at the top and you’re taken to a list of Normal Memorial’s recent acquisitions. Most of them have a link that offers short reviews and on-line ordering from other libraries. If the volume is owned by Fayette, patrons can request that it be placed on hold.

Under the Services link, patrons will find a list of the current DVDs available for loan. A new batch of 40 movies arrives three times a year.

Research links, located along the left side of the web page, includes links for a variety of information, from tree identification to Learning Express Library—a compendium of practice tests for a variety of skills and situations.

Other services include the NoveList reading advisory service, the Know It Now connection to a librarian and the Ohio Web Library for research.
