Two teachers were hired for the 2011-12 school year during a special meeting Monday of the Fayette Board of Education.

Barbara Bruggeman was offered a one-year contract to teach mathematics in a half-time position. Bruggeman taught during the past year as a retire-rehire staff member.

Sixth grade teacher Bradley Raby was offered a one-year contract as a Title II-A teacher for intervention instruction. He will work four hours a day, with funding coming through a state grant.

The board met in a closed session to discuss contracts for support staff—custodial, secretaries, kitchen workers and bus drivers.
