Albert and Betty Clelland of Morenci are  celebrating 50 years of marriage. The couple was united in marriage during a small ceremony in Baltimore, Md., on July 19, 1961. They traveled to Boston, Mass., on their honeymoon.

The Clellands moved to Morenci from Parkersburg, W. Va., in 1962 when Albert was hired as the industrial arts teacher at Morenci Area Schools.

The Clellands are the parents of four children—Isaac Clelland, Karen Lambes, Janice Donnell, and Julie Lama. They have 17 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
